The Sheraton Grand Hotel and One Spa in Edinburgh
It is all about discovering grandeur, service and style

The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa at street entrance

When you hear about a hotel being described as ‘Grand’, you are expecting to make a grand entrance as you approach the hotel and its entrance. This is not the case with the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh. The breathtaking feel of grandeur greets you as you walk towards the hotel’s reception and this is when you understand why the word ‘grand’ was inserted in the hotel’s name.

It has one of the loveliest spas in the world – the One spa. The Sheraton Grand Hotel and One Spa in Edinburgh is indeed a beautiful hotel with beautiful staff, so much so that it met my expectation. This time, I have to decide on where I start with my praises! I guess I can start by sharing my experience upon arrival.

When you read from a hotel’s brochure that it is nestled in the shadow of historical Edinburgh Castle, and offers you the perfect spot from which to explore the city's famous shopping thoroughfare, you get excited. The hotel is a walking distance from Princes Street, Edinburgh's financial district. It is also close to The Exchange, the architectural interest of the Georgian New

Town, and you can follow the cobbled Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace or wander through the narrow streets of the Old Town. The Sheraton Grand Hotel is ideally situated and is a short taxi ride from the main train station but also comfortable to walk from in order to explore the city after you have relieved yourself from your luggage and freshened up.
At Executive Traveller, what we love most about hotels is the service you get from its staff and I was particularly pleased with the team on duty during my visit.

Dining Table at the Terrace Restaurant

I think that Starwood should be pleased too because they all lived up to their reputation - excellence, smiles and service. They delivered everything you needed to give you a good night’s sleep during the busy festival period in Edinburgh. It is also very refreshing to wake up to breakfast in the Terrace restaurant – real delicious breakfast with a view.

With so many things its favour, we have decided to indulge your mind, body, and soul at their ONE Spa, on our Spa destinations page. The Hotel’s ONE Spa deserves a page of its own.

Bedrooms
The hotel has 260 bedrooms including 16 suites. The guest rooms are spacious and bold and many of them offer a view to the Edinburgh Castle as if to remind you that you are still in Edinburgh. They have suites, club rooms and an executive lounge which offers complimentary breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres and a variety of beverage options.

Edinburgh Castle as view from a Executive Club Room

Executive Travellers can opt for club rooms or junior suites to enjoy free bottled water, complimentary access to the fitness centre, but above all the access to the Executive Lounge. The Executive Lounge is a relaxing space which offers complimentary breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres and a variety of beverage options. It is also an ideal place to connect with friends, or simply relax.
Dining
Dining at the Sheraton Grand means a choice between the Santini, which is an Italian Restaurant and Bar, beautifully set directly opposite the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. It offers the authentic flavours and delivers the best in Italian Cuisine.

Business, Meetings and Incentives
If you are planning to host an event, the biggest thing in the Sheraton Grand’s favour is its location; directly opposite the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, there is no better choice to do meeting business.

The Edinburgh Suite at the Sheraton Grand

Nevertheless, the hotel has its own conference and banqueting facilities together with 10 smaller meeting rooms, a fully equipped on site business centre, and the only private off street loading facility.
