THIS
MONTH'S DESTINATON: Djerba,
Tunisia
A
Desert Island where wellness and nature walk hand in hand
Not many Brits would have heard of Djerba prior to Tunisair’s
inaugural flight from London Gatwick to Djerba on Thursday
27th May 2010. Lyssiemay Annoh was aboard the one-class
maiden flight and shares her experience here with us.
Djerba,
the largest island in North Africa is already very popular
with French, German, Italian and Czech tourists. The island’s
uniqueness prompted French philosopher, novelist, and
essayist, Simone de Beauvoir, the lifelong companion of
Jean-Paul Sartre to describe it as “one of the silent
places in the world.... Discover

Silhouette IQ-POL 2010 |

Eyewear
maker Silhouette offers us polarised sun protection lenses
with its IQ POL 2010 – the
new 12 layer sun protection for eyes.
Based on the
fact that the most intelligent sun protection for the
eyes should offer polarised sun protection lenses, considered
to be the sun protection technology of the future, Silhouette’s
research and development experts have grappled intensely
with this issue and produced the most advanced polarisation
technology in the world, the 12-layer technology –
referred to by Silhouette as IQ-POL.
Putting aside the obvious benefits of sun protection,
the IQ POL 2010 is pretty stylish too. They are very comfortable
and the remarkable thing about this pair is not so much
the many benefits that you gain from the polarised sun
protection lenses but the weightless nature in which it
is presented. One can easily be fooled in thinking that
its lightness does not make it durable but on the contrary
the lightness of the glasses is one of its strengths....

Where
do you start? Green hotels, environmentally friendly
conferences, carbon footprints, sustainable travelling
can be a mine field of its own doing. How do business
travellers keep the balance?
Most of us are conscious and feel the need to do
something useful. We recognise that for it to be
a success, the effort has to come from both ends.
The business provider, tourism offices, airports,
hoteliers, event venues, caterers, transportation
companies, exhibitors, and almost everyone must
join in to create environmentally friendly resources
and make themselves advocates of sustainability
Here are some
tips on how to go green during your travels…. |
