May 2008 Vol 5 - Issue 1

Dear Readers,

Had enough airline upheaval? Well, get ready for more. Airlines are folding fast - Oasis Hong Kong has been liquidated, and now Eos is filing for bankruptcy; some of you have suffered financial and time losses; my deepest sympathy because when airlines fold or get it wrong, the passenger suffers.
There are more upheavals brewing because there is a likely merger agreement between Delta and Northwest airlines. Such a merger can kick off a wave of consolidation likely to directly change the flying experience for millions of travellers. We can at least breathe a sigh of relief on some of the merger traumas because Continental has chosen not to merge with any airline. Consolidation may save fragile airlines, but it can make flying a bigger headache than it already is. Some of the likely downsides are fewer flights, more crowded planes and more disarray at airports - now we have to be glad that things are looking bright at Heathrow T5.

It allows you to pack in up to 30kg of the things you really need and still travel enviably light weight! This is particularly useful today where hand luggage is limited to only one item depending on which airport you are travelling from. Continue reading....
